Janet Solomon studied Cello, Voice and Piano on the Advanced course at the Royal Academy of Music. After graduating tendonitis prevented her working as a cellist and so she decided to teach Cello and Piano in the most imaginative way she could and to specialise as a singer.

She sang Third Boy in the Magic Flute with Holland Park Opera and Lady Jane in Patience with Beaufort Opera. She has given recitals at St James, Piccadilly, Rosslyn Hill Chapel and Burgh House, Hampstead. In 2008 she sang the alto solo in Mozarts Requiem with Southgate Opera. She was mezzo soloist in the professional quartet at Hendon Reformed Synagogue for two years. Recent engagements have included the alto solo in Liszt’s cantata “O, Mater Pia” with Carillon Chamber choir at St Peters Church, St. Albans and also soloist in the Christmas carol concert at Burgh House. For the last four years she has devised, organised and performed at solo vocal concerts in aid of BEAT (the charity for eating disorders) with friends.
